Football question

Just another reason to fire Demarco. Think how nice it would be to have Tawee Walker right now. Should have never let him transfer.

i have no problem with walker being let go. ou should be able to do better.
but demarco can't seem to do better. even when he gets a 5 star.....he busts.
the verdict is still out on blaylock but so far he looks like our best prospect since kennedy brooks.
otoh.....odds are blaylock never gets any better and ends up transferring like everyone else.

still want walker? Dude turned into a cancer.

He’s had 1 good game this year.

Ran for 38 yards vs Oklahoma state. 31 vs UCF
32 vs big bad bowling green!

Come on

Xrob is 5.9…. Nearly Half the carries if he was healthy early. It’s not close.

also a cancer that punched a coach… but none of that matters right?
I didn't say I would have wanted him back but your commentary on his supposed lack of stats was clearly false.

If we are complaining about our current rb’s but bringing up guys with the same stats is weird
Unlike Barnes, Walker hasn't quit. Unlike Tatum, he appears to know the playbook and be capable of playing good football at the Division 1 level without fumbling 50 times a game. Not sure how anyone could reasonably arguing that it wouldn't be helpful to have him given our current situation.

I don't think it'd be helpful to keep a player on the team that punched a coach, even in OU's current RB situation. Just me though.

Coaching isn’t in a vacuum. HE PUNCHED A COACH.

if someone punched your mom or significant other… you letting them chill for 2 more years at your house?

Not same, better. But even if it were same, 2 > 1. Regardless he was a problem off of the field.

There are a lot of other former ou rb's leading their teams too tho. Makes you wonder about Demarco. Also, his rotations are terrible and we haven't had a 1,000 yard back since Eric gray and Kennedy Brooks (his only good RBs too...).

If XRob can stay healthy and dmo (maybe more arbuckle) hasn't already pissed him off because of his lack of use, then we might finally see some life at the RB position again

Depends on the specific circumstances of what led up to that fight. Obviously they didn't throw him off the team immediately, and he played a fair amount after the one-game suspension. That would suggest there was some nuance to it. And I will just point out the obvious, that one grown man fighting with another is different than a gown man punching a woman.

But your earlier point was based on Walker's production. From that standpoint, he is a better player than a couple guys we may have to rely on this weekend.

Punched your son or dad. Correct.

I think x and TB is better than TW.

Sure TW is better than some of the others.

Didn't he still play at OU after punching a coach? If it was that big of a deal, he wouldn't have played another snap at OU after that incident.

I'm guessing he has just been chasing money
