Yeah, our defense really was GREAT today especially against the run. It's why we'll at least be in any playoff game regardless of opponent. But I agree with Greg McElroy. At some point, the offense has to step up for us to do any damage in the playoffs assuming we beat LSU.

They had a wide open touchdown pass to pull within a FG with a few minutes left. The game should have been over well before then if we simply didn’t play the dumbest offensive fourth quarter possible. Entirely self inflicted, basic mistakes by our head coach and OC. It’s one thing to be in a tight game because the other team is making plays. Mizzou has done nothing but our coaches kept them in the game. And this isn’t difficult stuff. There is not a single reason for us to be snapping the ball that early or throwing the ball with a quarterback who is woefully inaccurate.

Hardy always dominates and our defense isn't elite! If only there were statistics that projected today's outcome!

As I said, Hardy played 3 top 25 run defenses and didn't go over 100 yards or 5 YPC in any of them. Today was his 4th...17 carries for 57 yards.

At some point you'll to just be quiet about this team so you're not stuck wearing the dunce hat every week.

Sure. If they'd made a play they didn't. And then made a few more plays they didn't. And didn't share the magic wand with us. Then we might have gone to OT!

And won in OT because our kicker is better and BV would have continued to massacre their offense.
 
I'd love to play complementary football, but that appears to be a pipe dream. Lots of stuff on film this week that would warrant Arbuckle an asschewing. The outright refusal to milk the play clock is maddening. At least two free minutes given to the Tigers.....possibly more.
But, man, what a performance by the defense. Those dudes deserve game balls galore. Guys were there, even on the throws down the field that Mizzou connected. Once we started shooting gaps with the linebackers the piss was OUT of their running game.
One down, one to go. Boomer Sooner !!

They did nothing because the greatest defensive coach of this century put on another masterclass. Without RMT...the only elite player you think we have.

It's amazing that you watched a defensive clinic on display and have such low football IQ that you didn't even notice what you watched.

No he won’t. He’ll continue to lose argument after argument. Then he’ll just go hijack another thread. Oblivious to how dumb he is being.
 
Nobody will say it. This team would have been dead last in the conference if it is not for the defense the way the offense play.
