I have to agree. Mateer is not remotely accurate on passes traveling more than 10 yards, so why would he even try that on a 3rd and 2!? Terrible play call.

And since we can't run the ball, Missouri will get extra possessions. Let's hope the defense can keep playing the way they have most of the game.

Everybody will say it...this offense isn't good. But this is a pretty standard defense for BV over the past 25 years. Some are worse, but many are even better. He absolutely gets credit for the defenses he assembles.

The offense did what it needed to do. Mateer has had one turnover in the past 5 games. Not many teams can beat us when we don't turn it over.

Two things can be true at once: It’s awesome to see the defense win games. And we’ve witnessed the two worst OU offenses of the decade these last couple years.

Fans were getting fed up with Lincoln Riley, because they were getting tired of the inept on defense. I think fans are feeling a similar way under Venables and how bad the offense has been the last two years.

Back in Bop Stoop days, we have co-defensive coordinators. I think Brent should have Kevin Wilson as one of the co-offensive coordinator in charge of the running game. Kevin has 10 time the experience calling plays than Arbuckle. But I know it won't happen.

If Brent could hire the right people on offense, we’d be competing for national titles. The offense is such a liability and it will be our undoing eventually. I’m on record saying I hate the Arbuckle offense. Neither mateer nor Arbuckle are worthy of the job at OU. We need to make a change, again, in the offseason. I don’t think we will, but we should.

See, I’ll explain it to you: if I implied that a specific gender or sexual orientation couldn’t spell, that would be bigotry. See the difference?

As for personal insults, I’ve yet to see you offer any analysis of the game. Your posts consist entirely of laughing at people who actually have an opinion, or just acting like you’re smarter than everyone else, apparently because you coach or because you’re a blind homer. You don’t even try to bring insight. No substance of any kind. There are lots of posters who I disagree with but I at least respect them for having actual takes and thoughts.
