I don't know that this news benefits us much. Moore wasn't doing a particularly great job. I would bet good money that Moore doesn't get ousted if UM was in the CFP. I'm sure they were stoked to have a reason to avoid the 12.3M buyout.

Derp. Mateer has been absolutely carried and is 1 bad game away from falling below Trevor knight in ou QBs. Fact. He could also salvage his season but it seems like a longshot.

We got screwed.

I posted a schedule prediction on another site. Didn't think there was any way that the UGA game would be early in the season, as they'd give us a break and try to balance the @Michigan, RRS, and @UGA games.

I was wrong. It's brutal to have to go to UGA two weeks after playing at Michigan, then play the next game against texas. Then three of the easier games before a 4 game ending stretch that is tough. ZERO balance to the schedule at all.

I'm not one to complain, but OU really is getting the short straw when it comes to scheduling, especially compared to texas who doesn't have to play Bama or Georgia next year.

He did have a solid QBR for a true freshman. Bit concerning that he threw for under 100 yards a couple time, including the crucial season finale. Definitely a talented young man.

Goodness Mateer could have easily ran for a first down when it was third and three but instead tries to throw it to Robinson who does not catch it then our punt gets blocked and within a matter of less than a minute they score 10 points in a row on us?? It's crappy play full of mental lapses like this that ends up costing you ball games.

Low-tier failed to hit Carter in stride on the long pass a couple plays earlier, which could have gone to a massive gain. Even when he is playing well by his own standards, he doesn’t hit guys in stride. He missed Gibson on a walk-in TD earlier in the game, forced Burks to make two acrobatic catches, and now he is likely going to puke all over himself the rest of the game.
