GAME 11 - OKLAHOMA (7-3) vs Kansas City (2-9) 6:00pm CST on SECNETWORK

and it is such a simple thing to fix ... don't schedule the bottom 100 teams in the country .. is a pretty low bar to clear . .
It’s not that simple due to the money aspect. They struggle to get the better teams150-250 in Norman due to cost you have to pay them. Attendance at these games are not covering the expenses so they schedule teams that they will cover expenses. Now it’s somewhat a catch 22, it they schedule better, maybe more come. Last Tuesday attendance was listed at 4k, but someone there told me under 2 probably there.

the fact that season tickets are down to 4k is really really sad ..

I've heard the same. It's one budget for NIL and scheduling teams, there is a balance between scheduling better teams and getting better players. The average person that attends game isn't going to know the difference between a 150-250 team and a 300+ team. They should schedule more home and away's with power 4 schools if the budget allows. That might get more people in the stands, and more recurring customers to increase the floor of the schedule from 300+ to 150-250.

For the people blaming money (of course, that’s the default excuse for everything in the Moser era), do you think our scheduling budget is less than every single team in the country when it comes to home games? Because I can promise you no one has a worse home schedule than we do this year. Every single team we are bringing to Norman is in the 300s. The difference between playing those teams and teams in the 150-200 range is not that much. Certainly not enough to justify what we are doing this year.

And as for season tickets, this isn’t rocket science. When you miss the tournament three straight years, barely make it in year four, and regularly lose home games when the place is close to full and you have a chance to truly build momentum, you’re not going to get a lot of fan support. I know there are other factors at play, but putting a good team on the floor would go a long way toward creating some good will with the fans.

Don’t blame money for porter lack of success. I do think they need to figure out how to increase attendance as top tier players are not going to come here even if overplayed to play in front of some of our crowds. Of course more in attendance revenue per game.

Honest question: With our attendance and playing history last few years, if they brought in a usc or Michigan to OU. Would it sell out? I not sure it would. Maybe Kansas might.

Don’t know about sell out but we’d get a hell of a better crowd than we saw the other night.
