GAME 2 - OKLAHOMA (1-0) @ #21 GONZAGA (1-0) (Spokane) 9:30pm CST on ESPN2

I'm willing to give Nwankwo a little bit of time. This is his second game in two years on the road against Gonzaga and his second D1 game ever. Jucos take time typically. Reid and Davis both shitting down their leg and not actively attacking the boards as great athletes. That's terrible.
Then why isn't pm easing nwankwo in? Why is he letting him shoot so many 3s? Woof

We have porter through 2028... Idk how I'm gonna survive his disastrous tenure

i thought Reid was fine .. Davis will want to burn this tape

The one thing I’ll say for people who are arguing we shouldn’t overreact to one game: last year, we played our first road game against Bama. Everyone was giddy over our noncon and thought we had turned the corner. We got absolutely blasted … and that very much was a sign of things to come. The Bama game exposed all our flaws and showed how much better the really good/great teams were. This seems like the same thing, only difference being it’s November rather than January. But I’m not sure why we should have much confidence that Moser will get it figured out. I mean, he has had four years to “figure out” how to fix our rebounding and turnover issues, and hasn’t come close to cracking the code. Are we to trust that this game will suddenly lead to a eureka moment??

I didn’t watch the game so I can’t really comment on it, but very disappointed with how non competitive it was.

I remember OU got ran out of the gym against Stanford Lon’s last year. That team turned out alright.

Looks like JN had an awful night. Hopefully Jones is back sooner rather than later.

Moser is not being fired this year because of the AD situation anyways so no need to even talk about that. But maybe he takes another job somewhere else. But I don’t think we’re quite there yet.

They’ll marginally improve the turnovers and rebounding but it won’t be anything massive.

Probably because Jones is hurt and he doesn’t have another option.

I do believe this could be Moser’s last year in Norman. I think he takes another job. But he won’t be fired.

15 point loss on the road at gonzaga .. not that bad ..
Depends on how you look at it. Arkansas went to Michigan State and gave them a darn good game. Alabama won on the road against St John’s. A lot of people predicted OU to be up there with those teams.

the team came out thinking they were going to beat gonzaga just shooting 3s.
by the time they realized that was a bad plan.....it was too late.
easy to look terrible/untalented against a team like gonzaga when you take bad shots and don't make them.
maybe that's who we are this season.
hopefully some serious coaching happens over the next week.

one gripe about the officiating.....i thought the second foul on wague was ridiculous.
when a player lowers his shoulder and plants it into another player's chest....i don't care if the defender's feet aren't set.

I think what sums up the difference in programs can be found in the post game briefs from cbssports.com. Gonzaga plays Tuesday at home against #23 Creighton. OU returns home Tuesday against Arkansas-pine bluff. Sheesh

Absolutely agree Dagman. Too bad college coaches don't get a challenge like NBA. No way that was a block. Didn't effect the outcome but certainly didn't help

I think it's better to know now in our second game what our issues are then going undefeated up until SEC play and then having it basically be too late.

I think part of our problem is that we don't have a true talented center. Wague just cannot hang against tall guys with skills, and the younger centers we have are just not there yet. Rogers seemed a little lost, but it's his first collegiate game, and same with Atak. This is just going to be a thorn in our side all season against teams with talented big men.

Our depth is also a problem. We go nine deep and three of those bench players have little to zero experience at division I level. I'm sure we will get better because we have too much talent not to but if this team ends up being a team that only wins 20 games and does mediocre in the SEC I believe it will be because Moser simply just doesn't know what to do with talent when he has it. Still optimistic despite getting embarrassed last night, could have been worse.

I don’t have a lot more confidence he will make and coach the needed adjustments. But I would still rather see it happen now rather than to see him glide all the way into conference season with the mindset that all is well. He knows we have big issues and can’t pretend otherwise. Even the casual fan now knows it.
