GAME 2 - OKLAHOMA (1-0) vs #21 GONZAGA (1-0) (Spokane) 9:30pm CST on ESPN2

Rinse this one off and get back to work. A lot of overreaction around here, shocker I know, lol.... A lot of things to work on. Pretty good team we played tonight. Better in the 2nd half. You have to think we will shoot better from 3.
I actually don’t think it’s overreaction. I think we normally have overreaction the other direction early in the season when we beat up on terrible teams. Tonight is a real gauge because we play in a league that has plenty of teams that are as good or better than Gonzaga. Getting absolutely crushed by them till the game was out of hand means something IMO. And it definitely shows how vulnerable we are inside. Wague has been foul prone his entire career, and he is the only experienced big we have. And like Farnham just pointed out, the rebounding is a major, ongoing problem.

Its basically everything we've been concerned about combined with everything that pm has always sucked at at ou.. its art. poetry.

15 point loss on the road at gonzaga .. not that bad ..
Yes, not the loss or how much that bothers me. It’s how we got there. Coaches have a lot of work to do. But, yes, I still think we can be a solid team. We have weaknesses and it’s on the coaches to fix a lot of it and also reduce our exposure. Playing some zone, for example, might be needed.

We've had three bad first halves against Wisconsin, Saint Francis, and Gonzaga. We've looked much better defensively in every second half. Need to get that work out, figure out how to keep Wague on the floor and rebound. Davis and Reid both looked like deer in the headlights all night.

Defense wasn't awful honestly. 18 offensive rebounds, 16 turnovers, and 23% from 3 though ... that's where we lost the game. And the bench was scared shitless.

I'm not optimistic about this season at all anymore. I thought they could out talent pm's "coaching" but alas they cannot. And some of our talent has been greatly overstated. See: davis and nwankwo

I'm willing to give Nwankwo a little bit of time. This is his second game in two years on the road against Gonzaga and his second D1 game ever. Jucos take time typically. Reid and Davis both shitting down their leg and not actively attacking the boards as great athletes. That's terrible.
