GAME 4 - OKLAHOMA (3-0) VS EAST TEXAS A&M (1-4) - 7PM CST on SEC NETWORK+

But that’s just it. At this level of basketball, in order to be a good shooter, you have to be able to get shots off quickly, or create your own shot. Everyone on this board probably can think of guys they saw in high school who could knock down open shots like no one’s business. But very few of those guys would ever have any shot at playing D-1, let alone at a power conference school.

In other news, Moser said again after the game that Goodine is “close,” fwiw. If he isn’t back Wednesday, this will start to remind me of Brent saying that a couple of our WRs were “running around” at practice a few weeks ago.
That's why I played NAIA and not D-1....lol.

Can’t wait for the six-minute run that makes people claim that we played well and should be pleased.
Obviously, this is not a good OU team. However, you are far worse at posting then they are at basketball.

I'm a somewhat negative person. I look for potential future problems. Perhaps, it comes from my time working in and managing chemical plants. I'm working hard to become a person that can lead with hope and inspire with possibilities.

Am I happy with the state of the program? Absolutely not. But, you crap on everything and everyone. That's a problem.

Just because you don’t like my posts doesn’t make them wrong or bad. I’d say my track record in discussing/predicting things the past two or three years is pretty solid.

We played every Thursday night (rented the church gym) for 30 yrs… started about 1991… covid killed us but tried a yr or so after… just didn’t have the guys. I started it and we usually had guys play 4-10 yrs then stop for a reason or another… BUT.. thought the yrs we had a few guys play that played college ball.

Some naia, one guy a 6’4 lefty from Cornell or Yale.. guy absolutely destroyed us..lol. Said he played about 2 min a game.

Another guy played at UMKC, 6’10… all he did was shoot 3’s. But he had no one even close to challenging him… most of us were 6’1 or 6’2….

Just makes ya realize how “good” D1 guys have to be.

Also, if I were in a position of “leading” the basketball team or capable of doing anything to help or inspire them, that would obviously be a different story. This is a message board. Nothing any of us says has any impact on the team.

The irony here is amazing.

I thought the ball movement tonight was exceptional in both halves, we just happened to make more shots in the second half.

If this team can get fully healthy, it could be a little better than I thought and is definitely tournament caliber.

Which doesn’t guarantee anything.

Did we not find out we had some players parents frequent this board. I think Nolan dad or mom used to post. It may have some impact. Should it is a different story.

Dude, when we were in the midst of playing really good ball, all you could post about was how a freshman guard didn't go up for a layup when catching the ball under the basket. That's it. And the reason you decided to comment on this was because you have already made up your mind on said player and for some reason need this faux validation in your life.

I really do pity you

I only saw 2nd half but fears has “it”

They’ll be growing pains but he’s a dude!
Haven’t seen an OU guard with his handles, athleticism and ability to drive the lane since Trae.

He’s going to have his moments/games where he’s going to look like a 17 year old freshman and cause me to pull my hair out but my gosh, I think we might have something special on our hands.

The behind the back dribbles in the lane/traffic are what seam to get him into trouble, but otherwise great control.

OU has 3 of their better out. Maybe in Jan. we learn how good we can be. Not many programs have those problems. Maybe OU football. We have one poster than really suffers from PDS(Porter derangement syndrome).

He's got skillz for sure, and has a great chance to play in the league some day. My daughter is a junior at Jenks and plays b-ball...so to think Fears is only one year older than her, and playing the way he has against D-1 teams is pretty impressive. I just hope we can keep him past this year. He will undoubtedly get offers to transfer...so we have to pony up on the $'s if we want to keep him. I hate the world college athletics is currently in, but it is what it is for the time being.
