Gillespie to Tech on Wed according to Chris Level...

Level's latest tweet - "#TexasTech can't offer the job to anyone yet until the 10 day waiting period is over unless it is waived. Trying to clarify if that is Wed."

At least everyone can stop with the bcg to ou threads. Time to move on to Phil Jackson

Wright=no chance

uh yeah but since we're talking about Dean Smith and Phil Jackson may as well continue the thread.

How does Calipari sound ? If you want to laugh both of those guys were mentioned as candidates last time around.

Tech hasn't even offered the job to Gillispie yet

He's still in play

then skru Taco Tech ... let's go get him!

Level - "Interesting. Billy Gillispie set to be on with @gac1033 and @Ian1033 at 4:30pm central today which is the ESPN affiliate in Dallas."

chris level might have good sources but none as good as an actual internal organ for BCG. Thats a good as you can get without hearing it directly from BCGs mouth.:D

His liver may in fact be a more credible source than his mouth.

PLease let this be true. The guy is a horrible choice. He was pathetic at UK, how do you expect him to do well here?

he wasn't "pathetic". he turned around two programs quickly.
The opposite of what you said is what he did with utep

I never said anything about UTEP. He did a good job at A&M, too.

He did a piss poor job at UK where he had every advantage in the world. Not to mention he has an alcohol problem.

This would be a terrible hire, IMO. In the end if Joe C wants him I will not doubt Joe C, and I will be very supportive of whoever is hired.

Why people think Gillespie is the savior is beyond me. He's done one really solid coaching job at A&M, other than that he's been average or worse.

He was 30-32 at Utep. Contrastly, Tony Barbee, his replacement, has gone 82-52 since and Tim Floyd went 26-7 this season. It's not that hard to win at Utep.

Agreed. In my best Bilas voice "some may not know if the ball is round"
