I have watched those guys officiate hundreds of games and never saw anything like that. I don't know if we win with the effort we gave tonight if it was different but they were definitely in our team's heads. I am not talking about Fitz's walk either, even though I thought it was iffy at best.

I didn't watch much but saw the free throw discrepancy and am not surprised. Every single home ou tex game sucks. I don't know why but the refs always suck in this game

I know Lon is kinda softy but good Lord! I have yet to see him get too vibrant about a tough call. I like him but I need me some Kelvin actions over there. Throw in some Tubbs too.

2 things-

Explain the Fitz travel, I was at the game and didn't understand it.

Pledger guarding Texas guards- so when the Texas player extends his arm and pushes into Pledger why is this a foul on Pledger.. I was sitting pretty close and didn't see him foul.

The OP didn't say they affected the outcome of the game - just that the officiating was poor, which it was.

This. The outcome might have been different, but it might not have been. But I would have been less frustrated by the end if I wasn't seeing constant UT-initiated contact ignored and constant ticky tack sh!t being called against OU

We watched the same game... :(

Texas's last two games:

Texas FTs - 45
KSU FTs - 12

Texas FTs - 29
OU FTs - 8

The team needs a Bobby Knight instead of a pacifist.

It was actually 48-12 in favor of the 'horns in that one. That includes a 2nd half that saw UT go to the line 29 times compared to KSU's Zero (the worst discrepancy I've ever seen), & FWIW, KSU entered that game as the 5th best team in the nation in getting to the line.

Lon needed to get in the Ref's face at least if not get a technical when they called a Flagrant 1 foul on Osbey. That was ridiculous. At that point were were down by 10 with just over a minute or so to go. More likely we would not have come back and getting a T would have fired up the crowed to show that the coach has emotion and has our players back. I was at the game and set behind the Texas bench and Barnes showed more fire then Lon did.

I thought the officials did a pretty good job. I do have one question on the Osby flagarant. If an offensive player sticks his arms out to get space, can a defender push or slap the arm down. Same question with the hand check, I see offensive players slap the defender's hand down and off of him all the time. Anybody know the rule on these situations?

I don't know the rule, but I've seen it called both ways in the situation you describe. It must be frustrating as he!! for the players.

I thought it was a crappy call because the official knew we were trying to foul a certain player. At that point in the game, when you are trying to comeback, your best chance is to put the worst FT shooter at the line. That's what we were trying to do.

I question the common sense of a lot of the Big 12 officials.

Poor is putting it nicely! It still wasn't as bad a display as the 3 blind mice on Monday night!
