Here's the 2014-15 Non-Conference Schedule

Winning the battle for Atlantis tournament will be a great seeding boost.

Challenging schedule for a veteran team. I like it!

Anyone know if Washington is supposed to be any good next year?

I love playing Oral Roberts AND @ Tulsa. We should play both teams each season.

Bahamas by fire? Sorry, lame - but woof what a field.

I'm not a fan of the @Creighton game. The schedule is tough enough. I'm guessing that was scheduled before we knew about the Bahamas trip?

By the numbers:

12 Non-Conference games.

6 in Norman.
2 true road games.
4 neutral site games.

This is a really a good schedule for challenging but we should be good enough to take advantage of it.

Nope,, the Creighton game was just scheduled a month or two ago. We've known the Atlantis field since last year.

Just ranking the teams in the Bahamas by their wins from last season, a bracket would look like this:

1 Florida
8 Butler

4 UNC
5 Oklahoma

3 UCLA
6 Georgetown

2 Wisconsin
7 UAB

Obviously the rankings will probably be modified from this, but amongst the list of teams I would assume we are sitting around the 3-6 seed, so can't imagine we would play Florida or Wisconsin in the first round, but with a win would likely see one of them.

As for the Creighton game, it will be interesting, as they lose FOUR seniors off this year's team, not to mention Doug McDermott.

They have a couple good recruits coming in, but the game against OU will be one of their first, so with our more experienced team we should definitely win

geez ... I am so excited for the next season to start already!!

wish we had more than 6 non con home games ..

The amount blows, but the quality of our Non-Con games, overall, is quite good....

I'm really looking forward to this Tulsa match-up. It's a Saturday, I know I'll be going to that game from OKC, I hope other Sooners do as well

Of course. Come on up and see what a real city looks like.

I kid, I kid. ;)

I'm a big fan of the @Creighton game. This should be the best OU team since 2009, and we should have a schedule to reflect it.

I'm excited we have a more challenging schedule, but would like to put this into perspective. During the prime years of the Billy Tubbs era, this current schedule would be mocked profusely. I'll never forget our 1987 OOC schedule - BYU and UNLV in the early season NIT, #1 UNLV (a second time), at Kentucky, at NC State (when Valvano was coach), LSU (Final Four previous year), at Texas, Texas A&M, Creighton and TCU (All-College). Even though some of those teams (like Texas) weren't what they are today, THAT was a non-conference schedule.

I agree. Kruger has done a real good job of upgrading the non conference schedule at about the same pace he has upgraded the talent level of the team.
However, if Thomas doesn't get his waiver and we have to go into Nov. depending on freshmen, he might be a little over his skies early.
