I know this guy is nowhere near OU level, or even D1 for that matter. But, do you think he could ever be a contributor ( not star ) to a small college ( NSU, Southwest Christian, NEO, NOC ) at any point. He just finished his Freshman year of college. These are highlights of him playing for Hillsdale Baptist College in Moore, Oklahoma. It is JV, not Varsity. He is very skilled, but he's just not athletic. The question I guess would be can his effort and skill make up for such a lack of athleticism. Decent for a small college SG at 6'3 200

doubtful. those colleges find guys dime a dozen in Houston, Dallas etc.

Catoosa, I have a honest question for you. How did Delano go from a "can't miss recruit" two days ago to one you seem to have reservations about as contributor at the NAIA level?

As for the legitimate question you asked on this thread. Delano is not totally void of skills. He's obviously an intelligent player who uses some "old school" moves to get his shot off in the lane. My guess is he does that because he knows he's not the most athletic guy on the floor in most games.

He also has a nice shooting stroke from the perimeter. The problem I see with his shot is that he doesn't have the quickness to put the ball on the floor and take defenders to the hole. Pre-game scouting will reveal that, so the player charged with defending him will simply dog him on the perimeter to make sure he can't use his most effective weapon. Another problem is that he can't elevate too high on his jumper, and his shot trajectory is low enough to make it easier to block.

Having said all of that, I still think he could contribute at a NAIA school somewhere, not as a star for sure and maybe not as a starter, but as a role player with some solid skills that could help a lower-echelon team.

Isn't this the same kid that you just posted a thread on like yesterday?

Yes, it is. I would merge the two threads (and may do that later), if this was not a slow time of the year.

he was just kidding yesterday. He's just punking his friends. Ill message coach Coons!

Fairly certain those are small college junior varsity teams, which are generally very terrible.

Your prediction that OU would enter the Red River Rivalry football game with a loss was very terrible :ez-roll:

The 2 don't seem linked to me....

Also, considering just how close we came to losing that game (and maybe should have lost), I'd say any prediction that we might lose that game was certainly not terrible.

Get it together.
