hoopsworld mock draft

I would think Craig Brackins would pull his name out if he's this far down. Shocked that Luke Haragody is that far down.

I would be devastated if the Bulls picked the traitor.

Haragody is garbage and will never be anything in the NBA. He is an unathletic 6'5" guy,

brackins declared last year but came back. you can only do that once.

I think it could be devestating for WW if he went to Atlanta...full of guys on there roster that are undisciplined and dont seem to play with any sense of urgency...

I hope WW lands on a team with a strong coach and some veterans that will push him much like Blake did here at OU...

The Spurs would be a good place for WW to land. Time, Manu, Jefferies, and Parker could whip him into shape and help him reach his full potential.

I would love for WW to end up with the Spurs. But I don't see that happening this year.

But I do hope he ends up with a Jerry Sloan/Greg Popovich/George Karl/Phil Jackson type coach, and not just the next guy who took over when the last guy got fired.

I loved WW while he was here at OU, and I have absolutely nothing against the guy, but I don't really see him making a big impact in the NBA. He's not a PG, not as tall as advertised, and he shoots from the shoulders which just won't work in the league as a SG (too easy to block/defend with as long as most of the SG's are). I'm not saying he won't make an NBA roster, because I believe he will get a chance, but I don't see him having much relevance there.

We'll see. I could be proven wrong, but if Hollis Price couldn't make an NBA roster (although much shorter, but with a quicker and higher release), I don't see Willie making it long term. He's more athletic than Hollis was, but pretty much everyone in the NBA is just as athletic as he is at his postion. I hope he does well though (it would be good for OU if he can hang around). Only time will tell and I honestly wish him the best. There is money to be made in Europe regardless.

it's better to be a FA than to be drafted in the second round.

In the NFL (with the seventh), I'd agree. But not in the NBA. It's hard enough to make it as a second-round pick, but to make a team out of the summer league is very difficult. With the D-League it's easier to stick around from the second round, getting the opportunity to be sent down and then get called up. They're more likely to call up a guy they have an interest in than sign a guy to a ten-day deal.
