We knew we weren't going to be that good to begin with, so let's not act suprised. How many new coach posts can we have? A lot of folks want Capel gone, and I might be there with you, but don't beat a dead horse. Let's just go game by game and not go nuclear after every loss. Let's try to keep some positivity on this board.

What do you think is happening to the team?
"The ship be sinking."
How far can it sink?
"Sky's the limit."

Like I said to bigtime, this board is a direct reflection of the program. If the team was 8-0 coming off a Maui championship would people be complaining about the multitude of "we are awesome", "give Capel a raise", "what seed are we getting", etc type of threads? Of course, that is a rhetorical question.

We login here to talk about the team, its players, its coaches, the league, and the state of the program as a whole. What are we supposed to get on here and talk about? Only a few have the ability to find a reason to talk about a positive in a 25 point loss, and most people arent even interested in talking about that, especially given HOW bad they are right now.

When the team starts winning, the threads will change. This is true of any message board community on the planet. It is a waste of your (and anyones) time to try and sway people from talking about the reality they see when they turn on the tv and watch.

The team is bad, let people talk about it. When the team is good, let them talk about that. Why try to discourage people from saying one thing or another?

abd, out.

I'll inject some originality into this board: OU blows. I'll be here all night folks.

I agree with you. If you think we suck, just start one thread, say it, and then go away until next year. You dont need to say it every day.

Thats the most ridiculous thing I have ever read, because it doesnt work the other way.

If OU was really good, nobody is going to show up with the following post:

Title: OU is darn good!
Content: Man, this OU team is really good. I really look forward to watching them this year. Well, see ya guys next November!

Dont be mad at the posters for talking about what they see from the team.

This an OU hoops board. If anyone doesn't want to talk about how good they are when they're good then they don't need to be on here.

The team is not good this year, we're gonna talk about, that's fine. But all the witch hunt threads need to stop. This being negative for the sake of being negative is ridiculous.

I'm with you abd, and I was one of the "sunshine pumpers" last year. This team is unbelievably bad right now, with no real signs of it getting better. It pains me to say it, but its true. This is the new reality of OU basketball and it sucks, we are angry, and we need to be allowed to vent.

DM,what would you like us do ,have a kumbaya get together...We can all spin this anyway we want to,but this OU program should never have gotten this bad. Some AD's make changes quickly when they see a problem,OU sometimes drags thier feet untill a program hits rock bottom..GO SOONERS!!!

I'm sure we could organize everyone in the LNC to get together and sing kumbaya after the G-W or ORU games. If U-M's football team can hold hands and sing "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban, why can't we do the same with kumbaya?

I predict in the relatively near future we are going to hear Eshback say "you are like Jeff Capel. You are history!"
