I don't care what people say about Kelvin Sampson

Not bad stats. Unfortunately, I was never confident in his final years when it came to getting out of the first or second round of the tourney.

If you're happy with that, then so be it. I just know that what I saw on the court was not so great basketball, and the conference wasn't all that great either.

Looking back, yeah, getting to the tournament and losing sucked, but boy would I trade those years for these any day. That's normally what happens though. Fans aren't thankful in the present and normally are retrospectively.

Man I don't disagree with that at all.

Alright.. I stop. You fkers win. Sampson was a good coach but I just wasn't impressed with the product on the floor. He got us to the tourney so that's cool.

"Sampson's last few years"
20-11 (8-8) NIT
25-8 (12-4) NCAA
20-9 (11-5) NCAA

"f'n horrible" indeed.

those last 2 seasons (12-4) and (11-5)...We played only 2 ranked teams in conference in 05 and 1 ranked team in 06.

You're right, but you can only beat the teams on your schedule.

You might want to stop while you are behind, because if you take it any further you may get skunked.

I know as much about basketball as you do. Don't think for a second that I don't.

True...thats why our record didn't do us any good when we got to the tournament and lost to West Kentucky, in the 1st round and Utah in the 2nd.

We didn't lose to Western Kentucky.

And that Utah team had the #1 NBA draft pick on it.

Losing early in the Dance doesn't mean your regular season record was misleading. It simply means you lost a game.

Dumbass, look at the quote box above your post. moron.

Which is exactly why we got into the tourney. Those final few teams were sloppy as hell.

Thank you for your post.

1.Bogut
2. Pearl and UW-Milwaukee was just the best team that day.

I think you mean UW-M cuz thats who we played when we were a 6 seed. You might not remeber but it was obvious to most unbiased observers that ant the end of the year OU was not playing its best and UW-M was playing like they had in the tourney the year before. It was not a huge upset as most people saw it coming

Thats kinda why pearl has the job he has now

I miss Kelvin, grew up with those teams playing tough defense and with a lot of heart. It was also fun to watch them play.
