I like Brooks Thompson for Coach

I was for keeping Capel, but that is history now. If I was Joe, I would take a hard look at Brooks Thompson at USTA. He has built that program from scratch, has a very loyal and effective recruiting staff (all with ties to the junior college scene and Texas), Brooks is a good recruiter and knows his way around Texas and Oklahoma.

UTSA has been to 4 NCAA Tourneys since 1988. They went as recently as 2004. He did not build that program from scratch.

I'm glad we fired Capel, but I would struggle with hiring a former sheepherder.
