I love this forum, But....

Just stop! We both know you couldn’t care less about OU basketball, men or women. You’re just here to jerk our chain so you can tell all of your friends how clever you are to stay just shy of breaking board rules. Well, I have been on to the game you’re playing for a very long time.

Doolittle plays like he’s 5’ 11”? You’re not that stupid! This is one of the many deliberate insults you have made about OU players and coaches over the years. Funny how you seem to struggle with finding something good to say. It’s not that hard, especially this year when a team picked to finish 8th in conference surprises everyone by completing the non-con portion of their season with an 11-1 record.

Kristian Doolittle didn’t deserve the insult, especially from you! He filled in admirably when McNeace was on the bench with an injury. I’m not sure we could have won that game if he had not played so well in the latter part of the second half and the overtime. And, you’ve got the nerve to insult him by saying he plays like he’s 5’ 11”?!!!
I said at times he plays like he is 5'11"..for example at times he doesn't leave the floor when shooting near the basket. I'm not out trying to prove anything to anyone. Seems to me you're the one using insults...I think it troubles you about how I feel regarding Sherri Coale

stop. ada isn't in the business of harassing people. thats your thing. just suck it up and accept the fact that people aren't real keen on your activities sometimes.

Well anyway, the team is doing quite well up to this point. This team is interesting, so many pieces. Guess we all will see just how good we are or are not when Kansas game rolls around.

So one game will determine how good we are rather than an entire season? I never get this mentality, just like when someone suggested that last week about Tech before the Duke game. A lot of really good teams have lost, some badly, in Allen Fieldhouse, including some past OU teams that went to the Final Four.

Let me try this again so maybe it won't be twisted around..We all think Kansas is pretty good yes? I think we all believe OU is pretty good up to this point in time yes? So, I'm not saying has to win the game or they aren't any good if the don't win. If they get beat badly then at that point in time I can and will say they not as good as "I" thought.

Losing in Allen Fieldhouse will not take anything away from how hard our players have played or how far this team has come since the season tipped off. Odds are good every team in the Big 12 will lose in Lawrence. KU is not only good, they don’t lose too often on their own floor.

If your point is that long twos are bad shots, then I don't necessarily disagree, but if that's your position, I assume you feel the same way about James because he takes more 18-19 footers than anyone else on the team. I don't love that shot from anyone, but at least when Doo takes it, he is being aggressive, which is exactly what the coaches beg him to do.

You never want it, but how much you tolerate it has to be player to player. If it's your best shooter and scorer, like CJ, they can have a little more leeway on shot selection. Now that can go too far, like it did last year with Trae, but the point remains; your best shooters should have a little more freedom in shot selection.

Doolittle can be a valuable member of this team playing defense, getting rebounds, and finishing putbacks and dunks. When he stays in his lane he is a solid role player. But the margins on a guy like that super thin. If he starts jacking bad shots his value plummets. I had similar issues with Lattin throughout his career. He would take tough, contested shots (usually on post up moves for Lattin) and it drove me nuts. Those were almost as good as turnovers.
