If Sherri needs to send a message, here's one

We all liked it earlier this year when Sherri benched Goiya and Kay-Kay for playing stupidly.

I think most of us wouldn't mind Sherri sending that kind of message again, even stronger than earlier this time.

TCU game:

Bench Sharane, Goiya and Kay-Kay and tell them, pull your head out and play great or sit on the bench.

Go 2 bigs. Start Vivi and Maddi or Treece off the bench. We've got TCU inside no matter who plays.

And here's a radical thought if you want to stay in the 4-guard and a small line up (it does diminish our rebounding though) Ortiz to the two Edwards or LaNeshia at the point (better quickness and driving), Peyton to the 3 and Maddie to the 4. I don't know if I like that, but it sure as heck would shake some people the heck up.

Let me say, that I am NOT recommending that, although I do think it would make things interesting. We lose some things (maybe too much) and we gain some things (better rebounding, better outside shooting, better quickness at the point).

If this were December, I'd agree. It is the middle of the conference season, and you don't want to give up a sure win.

I think you might call Gabbi and Peyton, maybe someone else, into your office and let them know that this is their team, to take charge of it. You need leaders on the floor.

Gioya is 14-57 the last 5 games. I'm sure her confidence is shaken. She needs one good game to get past this slump. Who knows, the TCU game may be just that.

You are right, of course, Syb. It is a crucial part of the year, but we are 3-2 in our last 5 and we could well end up 6-5 to finish the season (tournaments excluded). Not exactly the kind of record you want to have when you are already on the bubble and cant break the top 25, especially when our preseason stunk.

It is radical, I admit. We surely can't afford to lose to TCU, ISU, KSU or OSU, but I'm not sure where this team is right now. If I were a coach, I'm simply saying I'd think about it, perhaps long and hard on the last part.

Going 2 big -- I wouldn't waste a second's more thought on it. I'd do it at TCU.

Oh, come on Badger. I'm just saying everyone is looking for answers, from Sherri on down.

Can't you admit that Sharane is not being competitive except on the defense end (and that isn't great)? Can't you admit, as even Syb does, that Kay-Kay is inconsistent and completely disappears in big games?

Just relax. I was just thinking out loud and trying to generate some interesting discussion from die-hard OU fans. It was just thoughts I was having as I read other posts on this board.

Yeah, I know Sweet. You make the changes at, or during, a game. I didn't mean to imply were were playing on the road.

No problem, Badger. I hope we start another winning streak Saturday!
