ford is such a slime ball. I don't think he's ever had a bad player. Heck Williams sexually assaulted two girls and he claimed it mistaken identity and pull the race card. I'm sure there was a lot of 6 '8 black males wearing team issued osu warm ups at that party .

3 games surprises me. Not that he doesn't deserve it. I just didn't expect it.

It comes at a horrible time for oSu as well. They've lost 4 in a row, and 5 out of 6. They are at a point where they have to start winning now, and the next three games are not easy ones. At UT, vs. OU, and at BU. Without Smart, they will be lucky to win any one of these games.

Once Smart gets back, they have two very winnable games. Tech at home and TCU on the road. If they they go 2-3 over the next five, they are 6-9 in conference with home games vs KU and KSU (probably before a pretty empty arena), plus a road game at ISU remaining. They would have to win all three just to be .500 in conference.

This really does put them in a situation where the NCAA tournament could be in doubt, which seemed unfathomable before.

In an odd way, this could help this team though. They have to figure out how to operate with a short rotation, and now it's truly a trial by fire for the next three games. If they can figure out how to get other guys involved in a half-court game rather than standing around watching the Smart/Nash show, then it will help them have a better chance in post-season play, if they can manage to get there.

I know Smart is a good player. But, they might get better results without him. It couldn't get much worse than the last 6 games.

I wouldn't be surprised to see OSU respond well to this. They still Nash, Forte, and Brown. Smart had become kind of an offensive ball stopper. So, maybe they'll move the ball better and play with some emotion and urgency. They won't be able to out talent people anymore, but they will still be dangerous.

But if you get nash or brown in foul trouble, they have no one to come in.

It puts the ball in Forte's hands as point and reduces his impact as a spot up shooter. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Not that it matters much, but Forte won't be playing the point.

OSU already basically had no bench, now it's even less of a bench. Even getting like 20+ from Brown and Nash may not be enough. Particularly with the inconsistent defense they've had this year.

There were at least 3 and another guy unassociated with the program who fled the state while under subpoena or something like that.
