Young and Manek are going to be great. I can't even think of a player to compare Manek to... 6'9'' 215, can shoot, great athlete. I would say Andrei Kirilenko but he was a defensive juggernaut. Tayshaun Prince? Either way, it's great that OU has a guy like this that is so versatile.

Lazenby scored more points, had the same rebounds, and 4 more assists than McGusty. Pretty good for a guy who most think doesn't belong on the team.

Polla scored 9 points in 7 minutes

Loads of potential. This could be a special run

I really liked what I saw from Lazenby's game. He seems to play smart ball. He looked for his jumper but if they gave him a lane he took it fearlessly and looked to finish or produce from the line. No hesitation. Granted, I didnt pay a lot of attention to him defensively. I need to see how he closes out and watch his quickness and hands more. But so far he looks to fit right in.

Lazenby's hair looks like he's doing his best impression of a former rebound magnet.

I thought all the new guys played well..really well. The lone exception was Lazenby, not bad, but I thought he pushed it a little on the offense, drove and put up a tough shot instead of passing out. Not horrible, but thought being a juco AA figured he'd maybe be a little better. No biggie.

Critical!

It seems like it takes most JUCOs a half semester to adjust.

I saw it completely different. They opened a lane and he took it. He wasn't hogging the ball and he finished at the line. I think you're being a little hypercritical.

The numbers don't indicate that... and, on top of that, he is a scorer. He was signed to score. He shot the 5th most free throws in juco ball last year. His game is built around getting to the line and making jumpers.

Brady keeps shooting the ball like last night and he reminds me of a bigger David Little.
