Jamal to transfer

Good points. Positive posts or relevant news. Is always welcome. I get very tired of reading the “put downs“ of some posters. If I was a Recruit and read OU Hoops regularly I would have my doubts about coming to OU. Seeing the the lack of support by students and others would not make it an enjoyable place I would want play at. I am of the old school and believe they have a right to their opinions but probably should keep their opinions off of public boards. True fans win together with the team and celebrate but fully support the team when they lose.
If they want to post negative opinions and put downs put them on the horns or cowboy board.

We are neither special or unspecial. It is no different than other boards.

The fact we're lamenting the loss of a two-year player who averaged 5 ppg and shot 25% from 3 (last year) says a lot about where this program is right now. By all accounts JB was a great teammate and kid (and I wish his NOTHING BUT THE BEST), and yes, he did a lot of the little things needed to win games, but if we can't replace this production at a power-5 school that's not far removed from a Final Four and one year of Trae, we have much, much bigger issues. It's not like he's leaving us to go to TT or Villanova or somewhere. I have ZERO knowledge of where he's going, but I'd be stunned if he goes to a program on our level.

That probably hurts to hear to a lot of people, but if we're simply being honest about where this program is right now, the fact people are worried about replacing JB says a lot about the current state of affairs.

It's not about the player himself. At least with me. It's about the sheer number of kids leaving, and in this case, that the staff had no idea the kid was unhappy enough to consider leaving. That's a problem. Especially when your HC is supposed to be a guy that is kind of an easily approachable player's coach.

IMO, of course.
