The schedule will be really tough when the Big X conference starts. We get ISU twice and Texas Tech twice those are the 2 programs we can beat most of the time, that's really the only team we can beat twice of any of the teams left. Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Texas, Baylor, A&M, and Missouri are going to be tough to beat on a regular basis.

I don't think the new schedule will start until the 2011/12 season.

true and we will be under probation around that time so he should be getting a bit of a pass but his career against may of the top teams in this conference just isn't that good so far. And we just lost the worst 2 teams in the conference when this starts.

At least we won't have to listen to the excuses about lopsided divisions and advantages. Let's all lace up, play everyone twice a year and may the best man win. No more excuses. The way it was in the Big 8. Loved the Big 8. Gonna love the Terrific 10!

Don't worry people will have excuses for Jeff hell a probation will be the biggest excuse.

How about we actually get on probation first before you start claiming what excuses "people" will make.

For me it is real simple:

- Play like a team next year. No more major discipline issues. No more shatty defense. Play with heart and hustle. Anything better than a 6-10 conference record would be gravy.

- Have the team back into the postseason again by 2011-12.

I don't see how that is "making excuses for Jeff". But if it is then please accept my apology.

The new Big 12 will be awesome as far as competitiveness for NCAA bids. We could realistically see 7-8 teams in the big dance every year.
Out of 10 that's awesome!

It is absolutely pitiful that the program has fallen so far this might be true.

It pained me to type that out, Tony. But that is the way it appears to be right now.

Pitiful is a great description. I can only hope that our staff learned from its mistakes and that we will never see anything like what we witnessed last year again.

Agreed. I never thought I would see the day this would happen. I will never take a long streak of post season appearances for granted again. I only hope I get the chance.

With the two worst basketball programs out of the picture, two will have to take their place. I'd say 4 or 5 establish themselves as yearly NCAA teams and a couple more occasionally get in, while two are in the cellar virtually every season.

There might be parity for a few seasons, but that will taper off as the Big X goes on.

That's what is ignorant about this post. How do you know we are even going to go on probation. See it is statements like these that make you look like you are hoping for the worst. I just don't get your line of thinking nick. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

I haven't seen anyone say that we won't go on probation of some sort after the Gallon thing. Even though I don't think we should have anything major against us. Fact is we were already under probation when said things happened. Even if we are upfront about this like we have been, OT being fired pretty much tells me something will happen. Just hope it isn't a post season ban and major scholarship losses.

I'll tell you like I said earlier in the year. Let this play out. One hole that you have in your argument is that the NCAA already has found holes in Tiny's story. In other words they don't trust his credibility. Trust me my friend this is a big positive for OU. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!:clap
