Josh Pastner to Georgia Tech

He is replacing the recently fired Brian Gregory. If he couldn't get it done in the American Conference, i don't know what gives him confidence in the ACC. FWIW, he edged out Jeff Capel for the job.

Capel would do better at Memphis IMO bc Pastnor left a lot of talent and its a basketball school.

Right in the middle of a huge recruiting base for both sports. They can be good given the right coach/support.

It's an academically rigorous school with higher admissions standards than most of its competition, and its campus is in an urban area that doesn't have the greatest reputation.
