We do try. We were in his final 5. Doesn't change the fact that if they aren't coming to OU i don't want them on a conference rival. You seem to enjoy watching OU get beat though. Makes sense why you want him at Kansas or Texas

Me, too. What I don't get is why any OU fan doesn't understand that going to Kentucky is better for the Sooners than facing him twice a year in the Big 12?

Maybe OU should join the Summit league or something, that way we never have to face good players and we can win the conference everywhere.

I'm a fan of basketball...I don't like watching big 12 lose schools like Missouri and replace them with a TCU team. talk about horrible competition(whether they beat us or not)

I get bgrch's point. While your point is correct in the short term; in the long term we are better off if the Big 12 has better players and is a league that more top 50 players want to be in.

I don't know about anyone else, but I loathe KU winning 9 conference championships in a row. I loathe losing to Texas in any sport, so the fact Randle didn't choose either school is just fine with me. I want OU to compete for conference titles so if that means KU and Texas don't get the best players while we are rebuilding from the dumpster fire that was Jeff Capel, then so be it. Kentucky can win 10 straight national titles for all I care, sure I get tired of them winning but I'd rather it was them than KU or Texas. Surely you can understand that?

This doesn't mean much, because TCU needs a lot more than 1 top 100 player. Sure, they beat us in a game that meant nothing and we should have won, but we lost and sh1_t happens.

I'd rather TCU get that player than OSU or Texas, so more power to the frogs. They aren't going to pass us in basketball program status anytime soon unless we re-hire Jeff Capel. Now, Baylor needs to be worried because TCU may pass them before long.

Don't look now, but Grooms is one of the better PG's in the conference so even though he may not have been top 100 (he's juco anyway), he has been very solid for us this year.

Arent just isn't very good, but I bet he could beat Nick Thompson in a game of one-on-one. You do remember who recruited Nick Thompson, right?

KU should have been knocked off this year and nobody did it. We had the players to do it and we didn't. Matter of fact, we finished 5th. KU is going to keep reloading and reloading and reloading...if you want to knock them off the top...we have to recruit better.

are you serious??? Thompson would be a disgrace if that was the 2nd best player we brought in. Oh wait, Thompson was in a recruiting class of 6, not 2. We could afford to take a chance.
