Julius Randle Chooses...

It's so "in" to pick Kentucky as a recruit that it's becoming not cool. This is a boring pick by Randle. I had hopes that he would go somewhere different just for the sake of difference.

Just b/c KU may not be up to par with some other great KU teams, doesn't mean they still aren't a darn good team. This isn't the 2002 OU roster. That OU team would have finished above KU. Don't forget, this KU team still managed to play Michigan St. to within 3 points, beat STL, beat KSU three times, and beat some other NCAA-bound teams. Every ranking and computer poll has them as a top 10 team.

I never said they arent a good team...I said this was the worst team under Bill Self.

They beat Ohio St at Ohio St.

your telling me that the Team of Aldrich, the Morris Twins, Tyshawn Taylor, Sherron Collins, and an actual bench is worst than this years KU team?

Yes, I am telling you that because they weren't very good compared to other KU teams. Morris twins were soph's, and Taylor was a frosh. Collins was the only upperclassman and he was a star. We were a better team that year, and KU would have lost more than 2 conference games had they had to play OU/Texas/Tech/Baylor/OSU/aTm each twice. 4 of the south teams, OU/OSU/Texas/aTm all advanced to the NCAA tourney and Baylor advanced to the NIT final 4. Only KU and Mizzou from the north advanced.

I will add had we played a round-robin every year of the Big 12, KU wouldn't have won as many conference titles. Many years the south was better than the north and KU had an advantage with 4 games vs Nebraska/Colorado every year.

WVU: 2 Final Fours
Missouri: 0 Final Fours
WVU: 25 Tournament appearances
Missouri 25 Tournament appearances
WVU: .617 all-time winning %
Missouri: .589 all-time winning %

the morris twins as sophs were better than Young and Ellis. Aldrich as a soph might be just as good as Withey as a senior. Collins was a stud PG who helped KU win a National Championship.

Were not a 1 seed or conference champions

Miami lost to Florida Gulf Coast, team lose get over it. They are still a good team. There is a reason why no one has gone undefeated since Indiana in 75-76

I get that their history is better than Mizzou's. But if Missouri was in this conference this year, we would have finished 6th instead of 5th

Your getting away from my point...I said that this is the worst KU team under Self.

They could still win the whole tournament and I stand by that. They have no bench. And Young wouldn't start for any other big 12 team other than maybe TCU and Tech.

we finished the regular season 4th first off. 2nd who cares. Every OU fan but you seams to be able to be happy about the team this season, and everyone but you and Boca seams to be happy with the direction of the program. Congrats you are on the same page with Boca, you should be proud. Kansas is a very good team this year. Again does it really matter?

I'm a fan of basketball...I don't like watching big 12 lose schools like Missouri and replace them with a TCU team. talk about horrible competition(whether they beat us or not)

You do realize TCU and West Virginia were not asked to join the Big XII because they are basketball powerhouses? That was purely football driven.

I guess it doesn't. I'll enjoy watching OU either way.

OK...so they had good players, they always have good players but that team wasn't as good as this one. That team was a 3 seed in the NCAA and lost in the sweet 16. This years team will at least get to the regional final and probably the final 4.

What you don't seem to understand is you can't just throw together 5 good players and expect them to be a team. This is probably why you are such a big Capel fan because he didn't understand this either. So the morris twins were good players, and Aldrich was a good college player and so was Collins but that team was the worst KU team under Self except for probably his first 2 when he was playing with Roy's players.
