First off let me say that I didn't expect us to win in Austin yesterday. Having said that, we should have won yesterday. Bad shooting days for TY, Manek, and James again on the road. I could really tell that Trae was tired with about 9 or under to play. If Lon is not going to trust a backup PG to give Trae a little rest, he has to use his TO's strategically around the TV timeouts to maximize rest time for Trae. I thought there was a perfect chance to call one while we still had the lead and a TV timeout close by. Back to back timeouts within a short period to give Trae and our guys a rest. I also wish that when you can tell that Trae is tired, put him in the corner to rest while running 1x1's for Odomes and McGusty. NBA style isolations. I feel we are not using McGusty like we should be. He is a good 1x1 scorer but hardly gets any plays drawn up for him. Tough game on Monday night with WV. Playing on the road late Saturday and the quick turnaround to play a pressing WV at home on Monday night. Let's hope they get some rest and don't have heavy legs.
