Just waiting on until tourney time.

I think we have to win the conference tournament to get a 1 seed. If we make the finals and some things turn our way -- Michigan St falls early in the Big 10 tournament and maybe Villanova does also in the Big East -- maybe we could get a #1 then. But we're probably going to have to win out for that #1.

Who will be the 1-seeds, then? Seriously, I don't think most people are paying attention to teams outside of our own.

I believe KU and, to a lesser degree, Villanova have two of the #1 seeds locked up for all intents and purposes. That would mean the following teams will be fighting for the final two #1 seeds:
Michigan State
Virginia
UNC
Xavier
Oklahoma
Miami (albeit they are a long-shot)

I think the winner of the ACC (if UNC or Virginia) will likely get a #1 seed. That being said, if OU or Michigan State or Xavier win out, then any of those teams would have a very good argument. Unless everything absolutely falls apart, OU should get a 2-seed at worst.

I too am ready for tourney time, although I'm also excited about the Big XII tourney. I think if we can get our mojo back for that and win it, it would give us a lot of confidence and momentum heading into the big dance.

Oklahoma last played in the Big-12 Tournament Championship Game back in the Kelvin Sampson days. OU made the Championship finals 4 years in a row (2000, 01, 02, 03) and won the Championship 3 years in a row (2001, 02, 03). Interestingly, those 4 years correspond to the same 4 years that Hollis Price played for OU

It has been a long dry spell. It would be so nice to see the Sooners make it back to the Big-12 Championship game.

Yes it would, Trav.
