he is at OSU's game. Love that guy. When he is not playing he is either playing pickup - practicing or going to a game. The guy loves B-Ball. On TV they showed him shaking hands and chating with all the OU folks - Of course he is a Texas guy but you can tell he has a lot of fun going to OU games.

You're never going to convince me that I should like KD more for showing up to cheer for Texas.

He hates OU.

Never comes to games unless they're playing Texas.

No thanks.

The guy has a ton of Longhorn pride for someone who didn't finish even one academic year there.

UT helped make him a millionaire. He supports them because he played there. I have no problem with the guy showing up to pull for them today. He's a good guy who does a lot for the OKC community.

Are we going to hear about the three-OT loss he suffered at GIA for the remainder of his NBA career? That's the second time I've seen him interviewed about it this season.

If Blake Griffin played on an NBA team 30 miles from Austin, he would show up for OU games whenever possible and you guys would think it was awesome! The hypocrisy is strong in this thread.

Do you think that is hypocrisy or do you think that is being a Sooners fan? I like it when people who root for OU. I don't like it when people root for Texas. Nothing hypocritical about that.

I don't expect a Texas alum to root for OU in this situation just like I wouldn't expect an OU alum to root for Texas in a similar situation. So why complain?

No one is complaining. The original post praised him for it like we should all think it is great. I don't think it is great, though I do take some pleasure in the fact that he watched us beat his team really badly.

This is just a case of some Thunder fans trying to convince themselves that they should be happy KD is a Texas fan. Look Thunder fans, it's okay to love KD the thunder player without praising him for coming into our house to root against us. At the very least have enough common sense to know that coming on an OU board hoping everyone will be excited about another UT fan is bad plan.

Uh, NOT a Thunder fan although I watch some of their games. Never been to one yet. Just thought it was neat that he and Westbrook and a few others love basketball so much that they will spend their day off driving around the state to watch it. That's all.

Wouldn't use Intellectual with your name, lol

No need to attack people

I am glad KD makes people around the state love basketball but don't expect me to get giddy that he came to cheer on his shortwhorns at the LNC. I don't have a problem with him doing it. I just am not going to get giddy on OUHoops.com about it.
