Only C Dialo, a freshman, who played just a couple of minutes a game was drafted.
Perry Ellis and Wayne Selden are FA's That has to be disappointing!!

Being a FA might give them more options than being drafted #59. Just saying ........

Ellis is only 6'8" and he wasn't a high flyer, so he might be too small to play the 4/5 and not quick enough for the 3. I don't know what held Selden back. He wasn't a great shooter.

Ellis isn't an NBA player. Selden has the talent, but never really put it together. Both are likely to have long successful careers overseas.

This won't be popular here, but I think Seldon has a better chance of sticking in the NBA than Cousins.

Talent wise yes, but if cousins can stay on for 4 years then he'll make it for 8-10 bc of his work ethic & character. But I agree Selden has the better short term shot if he can get over himself.

he has a 38 inch vert ..

Marcus Paige had a 39 inch vertical, but he isn't a great athlete by nba standards. Ellis isn't a quick jumper, not quick, fast, or tall for his position. Ellis will make an awesome overseas player.

Cousins has the measurable for a PG. Seldom doesn't have the measurable for a SG.

I'm not sure KU's got NBA talent like they've usually had the last couple years. Wiggins was their last real NBA talent. I guess Embiid too but I'm not sure he'll ever play at this point. I'm not sure anyone on their roster is really close to being even solid NBA player type level right now. I'm saying this knowing nothing about thing about their incoming talent. Frank Mason is probably 2nd round at best and I'm not sure he's consistent enough to make it in the League. Devonte Graham is too short for 2 guard. They still have Bill Self though.

They have the #1 player in the nation coming in this year.

We'll see how that translates to college career and above. I'm pretty sure Seldon and Ellis were top recruits out of HS but that doesn't help em in the pros. Kansas is probably still going to be favs to win the Big 12 because they've got Bill Self.

The last five #1 players were all lottery & the last 3 were top 3 picks.

lol... when you are THAT high in the rankings, they do matter. Sure, OU thrives on diamonds in the rough, but for the most part these top 25 guys are legit.
