I just watched the YouTube link on the home page of the Kid from Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. That's where we got Teddy Lehman. The kid can flat out play.

dude color me impressed... that kid can shoot but idk how athletic he is and if he can get off his shot against d-1 talent.. he sure likes to shoot from nba 3.....

The fact that he has the green light to even take those shots tells you all you need to know about his shooting ability,

Not sure he is athletic enough.

If he can play defense, he would be an asset (and I didn't watcht the video). Anyone that can consistently hit an NBA three is an asset to a college team. He will stretch the defense making it that much easier for others to score (even if he can't get off a shot) but he would have to be able to defend his position on the floor.

He is not near the athlete that Larry Bird was. wink wink

I agree, Larry Bird was not a great athlete but he was 6'9". My point is we passed on Roitnee Clark who is doing great at Arkansas, We passed on Paige who is doing good at O.S.U. and just look at Jimmer Fredette this kid seems to have the same range or deeper. I even heard Coach Capel say about Clark this year if you can shoot you can play. I wonder will he get as big as Teddy Lehman. lol

We didn't pass on Paige, he wanted to go to oSu and was a very early commitment to them. We didn't so much as "pass" on Clarke either as much as we signed Willie Warren and the two evidently didn't want to play together.

Honestly, it never hurts to have a good spot-up shooter on the bench.
If Hardrick is gone, why not take this guy and probably give your team at least 5-10 minutes a game at the wing.

Mr. Bill your right I forgot about the fact that Paige commited to them as a Sophmore. Didnt know about the Clark - Warren thing. Thanks

I just got through watching the video (yeah, I know, it's HIGHLIGHTS), and you can color me impressed, too. To the poster who wondered whether he would be able to shoot like that while being guarded by Div I talent, my thought is, if you can shoot, you can SHOOT. This kid can SHOOT. He frequently was closely guarded by his competition, faked a drive to gain space and launched from NBA range - and he did it a LOT.
Granted, he is only 5'10", and plays for a 4A school, but Keiton Page played for Pawnee, OK, and he is the same height... I'd take him right now on our team.

He is definitely worth taking a chance on, IMO. Besides being a deadeye shooter, he also does a good job of distributing to his teammates.

HERE is the link to the YouTube highlight video.

I just got thru watching the Youtube vids on Guerrero (there are about 10 out there) and then I watched the Keese kid again. Watch both Vids and tell me why we are waiting on a kid from Cali. when we have one in our back yard that looks as good or better. Guerrero can not shoot with this kid and they look to have the same handles. IMO

Guerrero's ballhandling and court vision is just on a whole different. Also, Guerrero has an aspect of creating his own shot and is quicker. I like Keese though. Maybe with a different recruiting class when you can reach on a kid like him.

I REALLY hope you don't fancy yourself a basketball scout.

I dont claim to be a basketball scout. Just a fan! But when watching the vids I have not found a vid of Guerrero doing what this kid does. Why would they not make a highlight film of him doing similar things? And I am not being sarcastic I'm just being serious I wonder why? I dont know how you can tell who is quicker from a video.

The guy continually crossing over people and getting to the rack with the ball is the quicker guy.

The guy hovering 5 feet behind the three-point line is not.

Stephen definitely has athleticism Athletes run in his family. His Brother Ryan was a beast in high school had about a 40+ vertical. This video is just showing his jumpshot really, his not OU caliber yet can be though but i wouldnt waste a schollie on him right now.
