Yep, another another player on the team and at least one of her parents. That accounts for 4, or possibly all 5.

Man, this one is tough.
I love basketball, and sports in general, and this one rocks the whole sport. I'm old enough to remember a lot of legends move on but this has to be the most shocking and sad day I remember in sports.
Honestly, I used to really really dislike him. Being a Sixers fan as a very young kid and the Dr. J days it was easy to hate the Lakers. But over the years and seeing how he battled through injuries, played through anything, worked harder than anyone else, and learned from his mistakes to become a better man, husband, and father, I grew to like him a lot. Will always remember his last game and was kind of teary-eyed then. It doesn't even compare to what today has been like. Yes, I am still a Sixers fan, but if I had to pick anyone I wanted to take that last shot, it would have been Mamba.
Not many athletes are known worldwide by just their first name. Kobe was and will be forever.
RIP Kobe. Mamba Forever.
Well said. As a lifelong Laker fan, I always had KB as my #2 all time behind Magic. As I got older, I appreciated his greatness more, and he became easily my favorite Laker.
I kinda worried about his exit from hoops, would he become an old, bitter critic of everything hoops related because of his high standards, but since he retired I have enjoyed seeing him grow as a father, mentor, and all around great supporter and motivator of so many people from all walks of life.
This is certainly heartbreaking and even more so knowing his daughter and other people died as well.....
Don't let only tragedies to be a cause for you to post as your judgements are needed here. Please post here more often.
