Kruger can 'flat out' coach [The Oklahoman]

I like Coach Kruger, but this article is flat out stupid. It talks about how much this team and players have improved and how he can coach but it comes after getting killed by KU. Of course this team and its players are better than last year...Thats what happens when a team is more experience and has a player like Osby added to its roster. And next year you should expect this to be even better with the whole team returning and a few more additions to the roster. But I'm sure that Capel could have coached this team to a butt kicking handed to us by the Jayhawks as well.

Capel coached us to a but kicking against everyone the last 2 years. Kruger is 3 steps ahead of Capel.

Losing Davis has hurt as much as gaining Osby has helped.

Sounds like Baldwin got stuck on the term "flat out coach" during halftime when the score was 34-31 and stuck with it despite the 2nd half.

No doubt LK is an upgrade to JC. I'm going to dispense with the "flat out coach" statements until I see how the rest of the season plays out.

I agree. If this article had come right after we just upset somebody it would be better timing. But after getting smoked in the 2nd half in repeat of the 1st game, doesn't exactly show a lot of adjusments being made.

But now after losing a home game to Iowa State who we've beaten for 4 straight years, it seems kinda weak.

Not going to lie, last year's team looked better coached than this year's. I'm sure part of that was Cade Davis being a phenomenal on court leader, but I have been sorely disappointed in the way this team has been coached in Big XII play.

Disagree 100%.
Conference play has been a huge step up in competition and lets face it, OU doesn't have the horses to keep up. This team will go only as Pledger goes. There isn't anyone else who can shoot it outside and if he is cold or getting defended well then this team will struggle. They do play hard and play so much better on defense it's like night and day compared to last year.

I don't agree with that at all.

Please tell me you're joking!

This team could definitely use a Cade Davis. His value to the team was never appreciated fully. But there is no way last year's team was better coached. You seem to be forgetting that we lost nine of our last ten games in the regular season. I don't see that happening again this year.

kruger will be an ok coach, will make the tournament, never win the conference

There have been other posts on this board that I disagreed with more, but not many.

Kruger can outcoach Capel any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
