Kruger Video Interview >>> News9.com

Kruger is constantly talking about getting the students involved as being key. I agree and spoken on such for years. I did some numbers and if Joe Castiglione were to block off 3,000 all sports tickets for students the annual cost would be slightly more than $500,000 at the worst. That would be very cheap advertising and enhancement of attendance figures.

Having been a season ticket holder for decades I can attest that when student fans are in LNC excitement is significantly enhanced. When games are more exciting the general public attends games in greater number. It creates a synergy.

The administration could do something like when I attended OU and provide a student all sports ticket for say $150 that would provide admission to all Sooner sporting events except football. The all sport revenue could approach $500,000 and reduce the net out of pocket cost to about half a million. The result would attendance at all minor sports would grow by relatively large numbers.

That's more or less how the current system works. Student basketball tickets are in the neighborhood of 150 bucks (with the ability to get a full refund) then all other sports are free with a valid student ID.
