If they keep up that pace over their last 25 games they will finish at 46-36. They can lose 7 more times and I expect them to pull a coach Pop once or twice where they completely tank a game on purpose to keep fresh for the winnable games.

As I previously stated, I think they will sneak in. Probably Utah that slides, Houston's schedule is fairly easy for them.

Tough game in Denver tonight though. This might be one to pull a Pop, 2nd of back to back in Denver is nasty

I think so too, for that very reason.

It's going to be funny when Pau returns for the playoffs, only to throw the now-gelling Lakers back into the same quandry of trying to fit all their incongruent pieces together.

One concern as a Laker fan: D'Antoni is sticking to an eight man rotation, and possibly over working his starters, particularly Nash...

Unfortunately one of those wins came at the expense of my Mavs on Sunday. Pretty epic game for two teams that are mired in mediocrity at the moment. Kobe just went nuts and took over despite the Mavs best efforts to go punch for punch.

On a bright note, it was the first time Dirk has really looked like the Dirk of the 2011 championship run. Hate to think the Mavs are going to miss the playoffs for the first time in a long time, but I just don't see them being able to catch Houston without getting a lot of help.

I'd expect the Lakers to climb there way back into a 7 or 8 seed.

At least it's justifiable this year. Last season, Brown rode his starters into the ground with a compressed schedule despite being comfortably in the playoffs.

I agree Dirk looked the best he has in a while. Maybe the Mavs will start riding his back again on offense. I wouldn't let 3 possessions go by without Dirk getting up a shot if I were their coach.

Kobe did go off!!! I don't think enough credit is coming his way for the sacrifices on offense he is making, in an effort to win. The guy is a flat out scorer, and he is trying to get others involved. Howard is still disappointing, IMO. I don't believe he is healthy, and that hurts a guy who counts on athleticism for about 90% of his abilities. He has limited post moves, and without his usual explosion, he has nothing. His left handed hooks are brutal at times......:ez-roll::ez-roll:

You know I gotta get ya Leaf: Take that withcha!!!!! :woot:dance005:
