I think this is a real probability even with the tough schedule. Nebraska in Norman, @ Kansas State, @ Texas Tech and both Oklahoma State games look real winnable to me. But even if we win 4 of those. Is that enough for the NIT? I think our overall record would be something like 16 or 17-15 or around there.

It's going to be very hard for this team to make the NIT because we were so bad in non-conference. At 8-8 doesn't that put us at 16-16 going into the big 12 tourney? That won't get you into the NIT these days I don't think.

At the very least, it will be good enough for the CBI. Some may consider it a worthless tournament, but it means more practices and more games for an extremely young team.

If we upset a Texas or Kansas. Which I don't see happening but I didn't see 4 straight wins happening either. That might have to happen plus 4 of the 5 games above. If we get all 5 of those plus an upset I bet we get in for sure.

OU was 8-6 going into conference play, so 8-8 puts us at 16-14 heading into the conference tournament. We'd probably have to win two games to get on the NIT bubble at 18-15. I don't think we'll make it with a record worse than 18-15.
