At halftime, the lady friend and I left the stadium and went to find some shade and a quiet spot so she could make a phone call.

We're standing there, and I see Coach Kruger walking toward me. Some older guy was leading him into the building. We make eye contact, and I say "Coach?" He smiles. I put out my hand to shake his, and introduce myself. He wasn't really planning on the handshake, and had both hands full. He stopped, took a step back towards me, shuffled the things he was holding so he had a free hand, and shook my hand. I introduced myself, and told him I'd be at a few games this year. He thanked me, and told me it was nice to meet me. The entire time, he had a smile on his face.

SUPER nice guy. I'm so glad we have him representing OU basketball at this time.

Glad to hear stories like this.
Coach Kruger has already gotten involved with several Norman/OKC community service organizations and has several of his players and staff involved as well.

Proud to have him representing Sooner hoops.

I echo your sentiments, guys! WT's story, and others like it, continue to confirm that Coach Kruger was the right man for the job. I couldn't be more proud to have him as our coach!

Nice to finally have a coach that understands the whole picture.

+1

I think he has disabused the theory that he is "too old" to revive a struggling program thus far. He is showing that he is doing everything he can in the offseason to create as much buzz for the program as possible.
