In the last 9 trips to the NCAA tournament, Kruger has lost twice in the first round -- last year as a 10 seed and at UNLV as an 8 seed (to N. Iowa that beat #1 KU and pushed Final Four bound Michigan State to the wire).
He's only lost twice in the first round as a favored seed: the UNLV game above and in 1989 @ Kansas State.
