Look - let's just get this out of the way now

We have had starting fives with zero all americans that have won conference titles, been to the final four, win 25+ games and we will have it once again.

not sure which OU Final four teams you've been watching, but every one I've seen has had either all americans or an all american on the team

not sure OU has had an elite eight team without an allamerican

I, for one, don't care if we are ELITE next year as long as we can field a team that WORKS HARD, PLAYS HARD, REPRESENTS WITH CLASS, and IMPROVES!!!!!

I want to be elite like anyone else but I don't want to have to pamer primadonas to do it. Gimme 10 hard working guys with a chip on their shoulder. Those are my favorite teams!!!

Our program will be much better off once the cancers are removed. I don't know for sure who they are, but I can guarantee there are some on this team. To be great you have to put in hard work and want to do it. The true greats want to do well and make the team better. Look at AD, he is the most gifted football player/athlete I have seen in years and everyone said he was the hardest worker as well. You can throw BG in that category as well.

I agree completely. I don't care who is in uniform when practice starts next October. I just want them to give 110% on offense and defense and let the chips fall where they may.

I'm sorry I meant mcdonalds/hs all americans.

Good post and I agree. After watching the lower seeded teams in this tourney play with inspiration, I would be thrilled to have any semblance of a team for next year. Yes! Let the chips fall where they may.

In many respects we could be better.

I am guessing that a lot of people saying we will be better off next year will be complaining this time next year about how they would rather have higher rated players. short memories.

I'm all for just keeping the guys that want to play hard, but don't put unrealistic expectations on them.

If we lose all these guys next year will be a rough year but I'm not going to look at the win loss record like I would for this year with a lot more talent. Next year is going to be about heart and hustle. I just don't know if we'll have the scoring to win as many games as we should.

so - you'd also keep guys who are a cancer to the program, don't wanna give 100%, and are mostly concerned about their stats?

sorry but they needn't let the door hit them in the azz as far as I am concerned.

I will settle for 5 wins

not sure how u r inferring that from my post

I want guys who want to play for the name on the front of the jersey and not the name on the back!

SoonerBounce did say he was all for keeping 'the ones who were willing to play hard'. Same way I feel; if they are willing to sell out for the name on the front of the jersey and play that way, I don't see an issue with keeping them.

All I know is Gallon is likely gone. Everything else is just speculation. And no i will not name my sources.

I don't want sources...I want resolution. This drama needs to be over so we can all move on and root for the C&C.

This is a silly and simplistic discussion.

Is it wrong to say that I don't care if they play for the name on the front of the jersey or the back of the jersey, I just want to win basketball games? And I want to do it the right way in regards to recruiting.

Probably not wrong, but the chances of getting a group of guys who don't care about playing for the name on the jersey to win basketball games is.....very slim.
