Looks like Mizzou may have its guy

Special Board of Curators meeting scheduled for tomorrow at 7:45 PM. This could mean almost nothing other than it needs to approve a contract for a new coach (only other possible reason would be to approve a new president, but that's still a ways off).

Sports By Brooks is reporting that Mizzou is looking at a current head coach, but not one that's come up in any rumors yet.

I'd rather bring Quin back than some of the names being thrown around, though.

Ben Jacobson would piss me off. Solid coach, but zero experience recruiting for this type of program. If the goal is to be Nebraska, he's our man.

But supposedly it's a name never mentioned in the rumors... so it's anyone's guess at this point.

Reading from reliable sources (as reliable as they get for this sort of thing) that it won't be Alford or Marshall (two of my biggest fears). Now just need to make sure it's not Doc Sadler...

I could definitely live with Stallings. Not ideal, but good chance he at least maintains what we have. I'd hate to just maintain for the next decade, though, and not sure he can ever do much more than that.

I know boca is getting on your nerves and I remember how tense we all were a few days ago while our search was going, but please know that it isn't no appropriate to swear on this board even if someone is intentionally provoking you. FWIW, I think most of us know Mizzou is better program than boca is giving you credit for, but I think that is pretty obvious.
