Looks like Mizzou may have its guy

First, I've never belittled OU's program or bragged about going to the Big 10. Anyone who says either either doesn't read, doesn't remember, or is making stuff up.

Regarding you never belittling OU's program, I remember the post in which boca was talking about because I posted in that thread as well.

I didn't care about that post because some of what you said was true to an extent, but I can see how others may have thought you were belittling OU.

As for the Big 10 talk, I don't remember you saying any of that, either.

Second... I refuse to believe it's Frank Haith. Absolutely no freaking way that's the best Alden could do. He is not a successful head coach. He is not a good recruiter. He doesn't bring anything positive to the table. At least guys like Scott Sutton, Ben Jacobson, etc. have won SOMETHING, albeit in a small conference.

Agreed... No way its Frank Haith. As diluted of a coaching pool as it is this year, there are much more qualified candidates than him.

Capel's OU program did die a slow death. Almost nothing positive happened for OU after the end of the 2008-09 season. It's not belittling the program to point that out.

My theory (or maybe prayer) on Haith is that Mizzou does have a guy, and it's definitely not him. The guy we have doesn't want his name leaked and this is just a cover to help him get through the night/early morning hours to give him time to meet with his team before his name gets out.

Man. If that's true, I can't figure out that logic at ALL.

HUGE downgrade from Anderson to Haith. I remember Haith was rumored whenever Capel was hired.

I can't even think of a comparable situation to this. This would be like a few years back if West Virginia or somebody had went out and hired Jim Wooldridge.

That is an atrocious hire. Feel sorry for the Mizzou fans.

I really like the idea of Scott Sutton with Eddie on his staff. I'm sure that makes me a bad OU fan, but I always liked Scott.

If so then I am a bad OU fan as well. I have always liked scott, Eddie, and even Sean. Good coaches (Eddie was great and under-paid St osu). I like how Eddie never pretended to be nice in regard to recruiting or liking the other team. Please do nit kid yourself I hated them when they played OU.

It seems like Marshall would have been a better hire than Haith.

Frank Haith and Travis Ford have the same number of NCAA wins.

Anyway the guy coached at Texas under Barnes and probably has some good recruiting ties. It's not a horrible hire. If the shoe fits ...
