Looks like Mizzou may have its guy

If Frank Martin leaves for the Miami job....

Think about that for a second. That would be positively crazy if that happened!

kansas would be laughing their collective heads off at this turn of events in the Big 12-2 North...

I will say this for Haith: the Miami basketball job is absolutely horrible.

Does K-State have any recruits we could steal if Martin bolts? Lon-Lon is probably too classy though to do that to his alma mater.

Thinking of this as a new sig:

Absolutely no freaking way that's the best Alden could do. He is not a successful head coach. He is not a good recruiter. He doesn't bring anything positive to the table.

Alden as AD is like having Adam West as mayor.

lmao

If Martin leaves Kansas State for Miami he is a colossal idiot.

Just saw a dude on tigerboard compare Haith to Gene Chizik. Sounds good, if Mizzou has a freakish stud ready to come in for the low low price of $200K.

Exactly. Furthermore, the comparison would fit if Haith reached the basketball equivalent of both winning a National Championship and an undefeated basketball season, with two different programs as an assitant.

Not to mention coach in basketball perdition where recruiting was near-impossible, and only for a couple seasons.

This is an awful hire, and there is no way to justify it otherwise.

talk about your out of left field hires......just think if Castiglione announced haith as the OU hire.

Five better hires than Frank Haith...1)John Wooden's corpse 2)A statue of Norm Stewart 3)Quin Snyder 4)Pat Summit 5)Turner Gill #Mizzou

Nice to see that a statue of Norm Stewart ranked ahead of Quin, Pat and Turner. lmao

Where is Sid??

We want Sid! We want Sid! We want Sid! We want Sid!

Pat Forde
“@espn4d: Frank Haith. Nice man. Would not have hired him with Monopoly money. But we'll see.”

Might as well have just promoted Melvin Watkins.

The national accolades keep coming in. Seth Davis:

I like Frank Haith and have been impressed by him, but this is one of the most perplexing hires I've seen in a long, long time.

First Mike Alden flies to Florida and gets played by Matt Painter. Now he's going to introduce a coach who is 23 games under .500 in conf.
