@Justinbyerly: 2016 G Jordan Shepherd is taking a official visit to Oklahoma tomorrow. @Jordan_Shep13 @acthshuddle @Jet_Williams23

This is the definition of a sleeper. From what I can tell, he was once committed to James Madison but they had a coaching change. He had some attention from Wichita State and OU recently, and is visiting Norman beginning Sunday.

Looks, to me, like a young Isiaiah Cousins type only with much better handles/passing ability at this stage of his career.

Not sure why this guy would be a take given all the potential in next years class

A real player. Good overall skills and athletic ability. Listed as 6' 3" 175#. He has long arms, but narrow shoulders.
19 ppg 5 apg, 5 rpg and 2 steals.
He is a pass first point guard, but has a good shot and excellent elevation. He would improve the passing of the team. I would take him, he is better than the Juco recruit Strong.
Kevin K would fix his shot. He tends to cross his right leg over his left while coming down.

Yeah why is he a take with Strong coming in and a probable PG signee in next class? And why no high major offers if he's so good? Not trying to be negative, but with the roll we're on seems strange to go after such a low ranked guy.

I looked at 3 of his videos and was impressed.

The one posted ITT is enough for me to see he has high d1 talent. Good handles, passing and athleticism. His shot looks pretty good to me, although I don't know his %s. He scores with both hands in the highlights which is huge to me.

Impressed after watching some of his videos. Can't have too many guards...especially in today's transfer happy society.

why take him? a bird in the hand for one thing. plus if he's a good kid with room to grow and a nice team attitude then you always like to build with those.

Coolm being so positive!

I trust Kruger. If he wants him get him.

Kruger isn't in the rankings business they like the ones that work hard and produce!

I know, and I'm not either. I'm not gonna lie his highlights look amazing. Just can't figure out the lack of high major offers... He looks crazy athletic and he has lots of tools.. You'd think the entire Big East/ACC would be on his doorstep?

If AK is gone, OU has 2 unfilled scholarships. We might get some guard attrition if they feel they are getting "recruited over".

I like what I have seen of Shepherd on video. He reminds me a little of one of my all-time favorite Sooners, Austin Johnson. They are similar in size and skill set. They're both long and lean with above average hops. I also like Shepherd's stroke from the perimeter and his court vision.

I say sign him if he wants to be a Sooner. As usedtobe1 said, we have two scholarships to give now, and you can't have too many guards who can shoot, pass, handle the ball and score.

He would also be an insurance policy in case we don't get Young. One of the things I appreciate about Coach Kruger is that he is not prone to put all of his eggs in one basket.

I can't understand why we aren't addressing an obvious need for size inside.

Maybe the coaches have something up their sleeves, but we seem especially thin in the post, literally and figuratively.

There likely aren't any OU caliber big men available at this stage.

I'm hoping Doolittle is slowly growing into a super athletic skilled post. He looks physical and is a rebounding machine. When I first heard of him he was considered a guard, but kept growing I think. OU was in on him from a very young age, and I'm not sure if they projected him to be almost 6-8(if that's really what he is). But if so that would take care of some of the post depth issues.

For some reason, I think he gets an offer and comes.

Since he is 2016, and I believe we are in the midst of the late signing period, can he sign pretty much any time he wants?

Jordan Shepherd - What A Difference A Year Makes (May, 2015)

The uniqueness comes in the way Shepherd understands the game. Despite his 38” vertical and 6’8” wing span, Shepherd’s pace of play is what sets him apart. He is great in the pick and roll, as he lets the play develop fully then routinely makes the proper read. He is the type of player that if you watch him 5 different games, you will notice something different each game that sets him apart.

Looks like he has had a growth spurt.
