This gives a little perspective on this season. The loss to SD is still painful.

Yeah, I was looking through our RPI schedule and I expected it to be worse than it was. During the 9 game streak to end the year, the only bad loss (one that had a ? next to it) was at Colorado. The rest were against good teams. Our RPI dropped a little during the last 9 games, but our SOS went from like 50 to 15 during that time period as well. I guess that's what happens when you are playing top 25 teams every time you turn around.

At the start of the season, I think a lot of us were thinking that if we could just get through that stretch against Kansas and Texas we could finish it off with a couple of wins at home against A&M and Baylor. But that was before we lost Warren and before we all knew that A&M and Baylor were going to be very good this year.

I had a feeling A&M would be better than most on this board thought. I took some abuse for it as well. But I was with the majority that didn't think that Baylor would be this good as they are after losing Jerrells, Dugat and Rogers.

Who was the team that game us a scare at home that Capel said was the best team we had played at that time? Boy was I fooled!

Northern Colorado maybe? It seems like I remember him saying something along those lines after that game. They finished 24-7 & 12-4 in their conference.
