Will Ana ever touch the ball tonight?

Why is Vivi EVER allowed to play more than 6 feet from the basket?

Has Vivi ever dribbled the ball without a turnover?

Will Pellington develop the skill over the summer so she can take advantage of opponents closing on her when she drives?

Will we ever cover open shooters in the corners?

We are keeping it fairly close, but just a few things will help us.

But finally, will the Big-12 ever decide that if you throw an elbow and knock the soup out of an opponent (sometimes even ending with a concussion) that a foul should be called?

Beat ourselves. Were every bit as good as that team is- Pellington has got to tighten up her game. If she does we become Dangerous

And a final question.

Did anyone on here expect this game to be tied with 5:02 left?

Had we hit a couple of those 3's late we might have pulled it out. Baylor was pretty fortunate tonight.

Fortunate yes but the better team always wins in the end. As far as the elbows Vivi and Maddie both threw some tonight! As well as #24 throwing Didi to the ground. ZeroU should be proud they put on a clinic in perfecting the art of flopping. Oscars for everyone!!!

Can someone please block him/her already. Geez.

You live in a dream world. I saw no elbows by Vivi or Maddie. The "elbow" on EJ that you mention (#24) was absolutely not an elbow. Probably not even a foul. After watching it several times, it was apparent that everyone fell down, losing their balance. They had the audacity to call a foul on EJ and even look to see if she had thrown an elbow. Go back and look at the play. She didn't even attempt to do anything other than try to absorb a fall.

I didn't see how they were blocking Vivi away from the rim. So, I have made no complaint about officiating on elbows.

Hypocrite U talking about anyone else playing dirty or throwing elbows is rich!

After the game, I looked at the stats on LiveStats, provided by BaylorSports. They indicated that Vivi had some number of blocks and three steals. Maddie had three blocks and a steal. Then, I looked at the ESPN box score which indicated that Vivi had five blocks and one steal. Maddie had one block and three steals. I'm citing these from memory last night. Confusing.

Now, I look at the box score on SoonerSports today, and it shows Vivi with a steal and Maddie with three steals. Nobody on the team other than EJ had a block.

They don't even seem to have a central place from which they get the stats.

How about if I just ban his sorry, troll arse? Permanently!!!

It has probably reached that point Ada.

I don't mind fans of other teams posting occasionally, but there is no reason for one of them to be mean spirited and hateful - consistently.

I know everyone appreciates the way you handle the board.

Thanks for the kind words, Sweetest OU Girl! But, to be honest, I’m not on this forum as much as I should be. You can thank NMSooner’80 for alerting me to got mulk??’s troll attempt. It was one of many, I might add. I, too, have always supported the presence of fans from other schools.

I told got mulk?? he was on thin ice with me a few months ago, so he has no one to blame but himself. Not that he really cares. He is the very definition of a troll, someone whose only mission is to hound and harass fans from another school. Now he’s gone and this board will be better for it!

Kudos to AdaSooner for doing us a favor!

Uhh, what about the other players on the roster? What about Maddie, who should be the team leader after SIX YEARS here. Notice the patterns in who you discuss, as if you expect the players of color to perform better than the others whom you did not identify. What about Gabbi's chronic inconsistency in shooting the ball in her fourth year on the team?

Let me assure you the idea of the race of players never did - and never has - entered my mind. Who cares about that, and what difference does it make? These are a bunch of college kids giving their hearts to represent the school in the best way possible.

But the actual issues are with the others - not the ones mentioned.

I certainly was not criticizing Ana. She is far and away my favorite player on the team. If you attend the games, you are aware of how hard she works. She moves constantly, works so hard to get open and positioned. But sometimes the other players simply won't pass the ball to her. I have seen more than one occasion when she is wide open, but a player chooses to try a forced pass to someone else that results in a turnover - then as they head down court uses body language to apologize for not getting it to her instead. I do admit that with Ana not having a great shooting night, it turned out better to let Gabbi and Maddie shoot. They actually had really good games.

And Vivi has had to almost carry us at times. But still, it is surprising that a few times every game she tries to take the ball high and dribble toward the basket. It never works - and is almost a guaranteed turnover. I'm more shocked at the coaches that they have not put a complete stop to that by this point. It is not unreasonable to believe stopping those 2 or 3 TO's in this game might have changed the outcome. Although clearly no one can credibly claim that Vivi cost us the game. Without her, we would have had a far harder time staying with them.

The main issue we have seen with Gabbi and Maddie is not criticism, but rather the whole idea of depending on 3 point shooting so much. It is guaranteed to be inconsistent. Some games it is average, some it is really good. Bot it is a guarantee that some games (25%?) it will be atrocious. You cannot consistently win with that philosophy. But no one on any team tries harder than those two. And they do lots of really important things that help us, but do not show up as much as lots of points in the box score.

What's the standard supportive reply here?

+1 Sweet.

You've really hit the nail on the head. Standing around. That says a lot about this team. For a motion offense, we stand around more than any team I've ever seen.

It seems like isolation, one-on-one driving to the hoop, is what we try to do 90 percent of the time. If you can do it great, but we never have been able to do it well.

If Vivi, God love her as we all do, is dribbling ,we are going to have a turnover 99 percent of the time.

What the hell???

So now people are being accused of racism on our basketball forum?

You should be ashamed of yourself.
