Marcus smart just hit a fan!

I'm shocked at how many people are saying TT faked the audio on that video. Really? You think a university is going to go through all of that to protect one fan? And they are going to do so not knowing for sure what other camera/video/audio evidence, or person, may come forward? Come on.

Not to mention, if the video is doctored, I'm sure there is somebody out there that could prove that. Just like they do with photo-shopped pictures.

Sheesh.

Exactly! The idea that someone at Tech doctored the audio is so preposterous it's not worth the time it would take to consider it. People who already had their mind made up before the video surfaced will believe what they want and no amount of evidence to the contrary will change it.

So again, for everyone (boca) defending smart, can you please post the videos showing the fan causing trouble in the past?

Did Smart move in with his HS coach, or the Forte's, at some point? Who and when was that?

It went something like this. Forte's dad rented Smart and his mom a house in the Flower Mound school district for about $400 below market value. Smart was basically recruited to play for that school.

It was investigated by who ever does that in Texas to determine Smart's eligibility. Even though the facts of the situation were never in dispute, for whatever reason, the governing body went ahead and let Smart play. I guess because Smart is special.

Thanks. Was that for all 4 years of HS, or just a couple of years?

I stumbled across the article the other day when I googled a player from Flower Mound that I saw in the Moore tourney. I can't remember for sure. But, it may have been in his Jr/Sr. year.

He attended Marcus four years. UIL essentially ruled it was legal based on 1.) prior relationship (family had known each other for a while) and 2.) the fact the principal and interest on the home was being covered. A grey area if you ask me.

I'm sure that is what I probably read. The fact remains that Smart was recruited to play at Flow Mound and that recruitment was facilitated by the Forte family. He got away with it.

Not saying it's right, but "recruiting" in big cities happens everywhere and to players who aren't high profile like Smart. It's part of the basketball culture these days.

Sooners have to be careful not to go into Stillwater overconfident because Smart will be missing.

See Jenks and Union football. :)

The media has portrayed this is such a race issue that even now when news has come out that the fan clearly said "piece of crap" people are still talking about race.
Looking at the comment section in Newsok and Tulsa World and people are still commenting that they don't blame Smart cause he was called the "N word" and so on...
NO HE WAS NOT!

I would also like to see people like Kevin Durant tweet out now what they think instead of crying about race when it wasn't there.

Yes, you are right. It is still against the rules in Texas and Oklahoma.

and then baby fitzpatrick swears he had to have said something else b/c no way marcus would push somebody just for piece of crap.

I once again bring up the question: What did the chair say. What word or words could have that poor, defenseless chair uttered from OSU's sideline during that West Virginia game to make Marcus mercilessly kick it repeatedly.

If saying the n-word makes it OK to shove an old guy during a game, what justifies kicking a chair during a game

Quoting the chair: "FLOPPER!"

When Smart comes off his suspension, I would guess that he is at least 50-50 to blow up again.

I agree Gary. Emotions will be running high and he has shown many times that he loses control.

Yep.

Luckily for him (Smart) he won't have but two road games left, and those fans may not get onto him as much as some others would. TCU fans probably don't care. And ISU fans might be too classy. If they played at KU, or at UT, or at OU after his return, he'd catch an earful. Heck, if he played at ISU, they'd probably throw a burning couch at him just to get a reaction.
