Men's Basketball Captains Named

Wow, Nick Thompson must be impressing people.

Congrats to all those young men!

is it just me, or does it seem a little early to be naming team captains?

maybe not much is gonna change from not until November/December, and i know you can see work ethic and establish leaders in the preseason...but there will be guys that dont step up and perform once the true practices begin and ones that will rise up and lead...there are always those who look all shiny until their true mettle is tested...

Obviously Cade and TJ IMO are great and have shown enough in their time to take on this status...and i'm not necessarily questioning the others...just seems early

thats pretty exciting about Nick. bodes well.

the more you watch things go down and the more you hear...I'm thinking we may see one of the biggest "effort" turnarounds in the history of the game.

I am so pumped looking forward to a team that leaves it on the floor start to finish. Do that and the wins/accolades will all fall into place. It's gonna be a good season!

I use to do that for entire games when I played basketball back in my glorious elementary school days. And let me tell you, the team walked away happy. The team that won. The team that was not me because the other team had more talent.

Can you imagine a team that had both talent and worked hard? That'd be an unstoppable force. Good thing there's no such teams like that in the Big 12, otherwise we'd be in big trouble.

Sorry gimp, but it's not always about the team with the most talent.

Im impressed that Nick Thompson has that much respect from his teammates. We need some strong leadership to make up for our deficiencies.

As a coach, I LOVE teams that leave it all on the floor, love to play, and really get after it. If a team was .500 but played as hard as they could for 40 minutes I respect that twice as much as a team that plays lazy and without a purpose but wins a few more games.
