Miller going to Maryland?

I'm hearing it is Turgeon as well.

Good move for him if it is. Maryland can compete with Duke and UNC consistently in that conference. Personally I think Maryland is a very underrated program but I'd say it is in the Top 10 of jobs out there.

My "personal" Top 25 ranking of jobs:

1. UNC
2. Kentucky
3. Kansas
4. Duke
5. UCLA
6. Syracuse
7. Maryland
8. Indiana
9. Michigan State
10. Arizona
11. Uconn
12. Louisville
13. Ohio State
14. Texas
15. Arkansas
16. Florida
17. Illinois
18. Oklahoma
19. Georgetown
20. Memphis
21. Missouri
22. Notre Dame
23. Michigan
24. Oklahoma State
25. West Virginia

I'm probably leaving out a program that deserves more consideration like Pittsburgh, Villanova, Purdue or someone else. IMHO, the Indiana job is falling like a rock. I'm probably a little higher on Oklahoma than most, but I'm a homer and I feel like the last thirty years means more than the last two...we are easily the best program out there without a title. Missouri is an enigma to me, like aTm in football, they have everything available for them to be a powerhouse, but they just aren't. Uconn is probably a little low, but I want to see what they do without Calhoun.

I think you have Texas, Ohio State, and Florida rated too low. I think those are each better jobs than everything outside the top 10. Each of those schools just have a ridiculous recruiting advantage in their home area, plus the appeal to snag national recruits.

In the eyes of most recruits, the last 10-15 years are really the only relevant seasons.

I probably gave Louisville too much credit, same with Arkansas, but both are historically more passionate about basketball than the programs you mentioned. No way I could put any of them above UConn at this point though; but I agree with you, they are three schools that with the right coach should win a bunch of basketball games based on their built-in advantages.

From a reliable source, I'm hearing Capel is high on Maryland's list. Fortunately, we locked him up a few years ago with the Alabama, Arizona and South Carolina scares. Capel's buyout should protect us a little here. What a move by Joe C.

In other news, drove by the renovations to the Field House, and it is looking sweet. It will be so great when games are back on main campus.

Funny. Looks like your comedy was all for nothing considering the chatter was correct.
