Out of all the players returning from last year's squad, who do you expect to be the most improved ? And out of the newcomers ( I'm considering Buford and McNeace newcomers ) who do you think will have the greatest impact ?

Dante Buford. He did NOTHING last year on the court. :)

Woodard- gym rat this offseason
Buford or Odomes. Can't decide.

Most improved returning players?: Lattin and Woodard

Biggest impact newcomers?: My picks would be Buford, Odomes and McNeace, in that order.

I gave some thought to adding Manyang to the newcomer list. But, since I have said for sometime McNeace will surprise some people before he's through, he's in my top three. It might not be this year. But, I think Jamuni has the potential to be a major factor on this team by the time he's a junior (third season), and it wouldn't surprise me if the lights come on in the next year or two.

To me, the best thing about these questions is that there are so many players to choose from this year. That's a credit to LK and his staff and the kind of talent they are bringing to OU now.

Mose improved: khadeem Lattin

Newcomer: akolda manyang

Manyang being hurt has slowed him down tremendously. I've tapered my expectations

Most improved- Lattin
Reasons: (1) most players improve most between their 1st and 2nd year, and (2) significantly more playing time.

Newcomer - Buford #1 or Odomes #2. Depends on who plays the most. Close call. Manyang would be #3 for me.

I'm assuming Lattin will be the new starter, but will split minutes with both Manyang and Buford in the post. Buford and Odomes will both get minutes at wing .... as could James (redshirt?). Only token minutes for Walker and McNeace.... and maybe James. Of course, the 4 returning multiple-year starters will get 120-130 of the 200 available game minutes.

It almost has to be Lattin. I suppose it could be Woodard if he shoots it much better.

It needs to be Lattin. He had no offensive game at all last year.

I wanted to say Buford but the 3/4 tweeners seem to take longer to adjust to the next level perimeter game.

I like Lattin, I think he will be the key for OU this year. I would also like to see our point guard work on his shot and decision Making. This is going to be fun.

He has been. I hope we all see the efforts hes put into his skills this summer.

I agree. Lattin is the most logical choice. Woodard has a chance to show notable improvement with better shooting. I hope everyone shows improvement.

I think Odomes is going to be the biggest impact player of the freshman (including redshirts). I think Manyang will be the biggest impact player of the new guys.

Dark hoarse for most improved - Spangler. I say this because I could see Manyang taking his role with him floating out a bit and becoming more of an offensive threat.

We're in for a treat this year if Lattin truly is the most improved player on the team.
