This was with 4 minutes to go and we were up 8. He rooted for OSU the whole game. He SUCKS!!!!!!!
He needs to be retired IMO
I noticed that comment. Isn't he retiring to the SEC network?

I think Fran tries not to look like he has a rooting interest in OU. I mean his son is on the team if only as a walk-on.
I agree with you. But he went overboard with it in trying to make people believe he was neutral.
The studio crew was even worse than Fran and Musberger. One would have thought that OSU was playing the game by themselves. OU is up by 8 at the half, and the studio guys didn't even mention our name.
Heck, we had to sit through a split screen of Smart on the bench clapping for his teammates! Horrible job all the way around for the entire ESPN staff!!!
How about that Woodard?!! The unsung point guard.
I'll keep saying it: Broadcasters focusing on a single player like Smart is bad for college basketball. The hype does harm to the game. Smart was not remotely the story tonight -- not by a mile. But they never adjusted, they never gave OU due credit, they never acknowledged that OU was the better team (for this one night at least).
And Smart's been getting that hype from Day One. There's no excuse for it.
Forte was the story for OSU. Kid had a huge game. His shooting is the only thing that kept OSU from losing by 20+

...and our missed free throws. :facepalm
