Isn't part of summer league to allow players to develop skills and work on their game? I don't think having a guy bring the ball up the floor in his two summer games means they plan on having him turn into the next Magic Johnson. Tony K is good at what he does, but he is not an NBA analyst/expert.

That's what I was thinking. What better place is there to experiment than the summer league? Sometimes players will display skills that they may not have shown in college.

nice. the timing had to be so devastating mentally. extremely happy he has something to help keep his mind in a positive state. very cool of the pelicans, no matter how long it lasts.

J Fears had his best statistical game in the Summer League last night with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 turnovers. I believe it was his first game with more assists than turnovers. His 3-point shooting remains abysmal, but overall, seems to be getting better every game. Keep it going, young man!

That’s some kind of take. Portland hadn’t won a playoff series in 13 years before he got there. He almost single handedly made them relevant.

When Milwaukee got rid of Holiday for Dame I said Bucks are no longer a contender. I’d take Holiday over Dame straight up everyday.

Depends a lot on what the rest of your roster looks like. Holiday wouldn’t have carried those Portland teams to the heights that Lillard did. He doesn’t possess that kind of offensive ability or gravity.

He was just coming off a career high 32.2 ppg and almost won a scoring title while hitting his career high in FG%.

Talent-wise their roster took a step back but he was still playing at an extremely high level.
